Lakeside Pokhara


Lakeside Pokhara is one of the most widespread tourist destinations and the second most visited city in Nepal.  Besides, it is well-known for its peaceful atmosphere and the beautiful surrounding countryside. People can see three out of the highest mountain in the world from Pokhara (Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu). Moreover, the iconic Machhapuchhre with its distinctively pointed peak has become the icon of the city.

Moreover, Lakeside is the area of town located on the shores of Fewa Lake. The place is full of interesting shops and sidewalk vendors. On the place visitors can catch a beautiful panoramic view of Mt. Fishtail and sunset reflecting on the surface of Fewa lake. Plus, visitors can catch a colored wooden boat to the historic Barahi temple, located on an island in the Fewa lake. At night, the place glows with colourfull lights and peaceful music. However, the place is also famous for celebrating the street festival in English New Year and National New Year. On this festival, the street will decorate beautifully from the gate of Ambott Gaurighat and end with Dhikopatan Lakeside, where the festival will be organized nearly 3 KM distance.

Moreover, in this street festival mainly different national folk song, custom, dohori geet, food fest, panche Baje etc will be shown to promote culture among the international country. Plus, we can also enjoy different musical programs, concert and many more in the street. Basundhara Park, Lakeside’s biggest patch of open space, is the venue for chilling, walking, family picnic. Plus, it is the venue for the annual Annapurna Festival (usually happen in April), a cultural event featuring music, dance, and food.
